PENTAX K-3 Mark III now available in Europe as JET BLACK Limited Edition

In order to better respond to the wishes and needs of photographers, RICOH IMAGING announced at the beginning of the year that it would be making its product development much more individual.

A first step was taken in March 2022 when the PENTAX K-3 Mark III was offered as a JET BLACK edition as part of a crowdfunding campaign for the Japanese market.

Based on the K-3 Mark III series model, an all-black camera was introduced. From the brand logo to the lettering on the controls, everything that is otherwise painted white is painted in black or anthracite lacquer. The lens HD PENTAX-DA 20-40mmF2.8-4ED Limited DC WR was offered to match, on which black lacquer was used for the lettering instead of white.

The discussion about an individual product development and the limited camera model was also conducted extensively among European PENTAX friends. The opinions were quite controversial. Due to the positive response, also outside Japan, the responsible product planners decided to release a small number of cameras (Body only) for the world market.

Customers in Europe can look forward to being able to order this camera immediately. But hurry up, because there are only about 90 cameras available for sale in the whole of Europe.

Apart from the design changes, the PENTAX K-3 Mark III JET BLACK is the same as the standard PENTAX K-3 Mark III.
