The black star. .
"The moment I realized it existed, I bought it. No second thoughts. Every shot reminds me of working with black-and-white film. It always gives me something back. Combined with Pentax’s wonderful lenses*, it becomes a camera that invites you to work, to explore, and to discover the results afterward. A truly distinctive tool. The build quality is excellent, giving a strong sense of reliability and consistency. The controls are intuitive and dependable; no unpleasant surprises. If it had an articulating screen like the exceptionally user-friendly one of the K-1 (why don’t other brands design screens this thoughtfully?), it would come very close to perfection. [*I love Pentax lenses. I feel them, and I genuinely want to work with them. Each one has a distinct personality. I’ve never experienced them as mere commercial products with an expiry date—never cheap. If I could, I would carry all of them with me whenever I go out. I only wish I had one black body for each, so they could always be ready for shooting. . ]"
